Syraverse + Epic Games Account Connection

Introduction

Syraverse is a participation platform that connects customer participation across gaming, retail, sport and live experiences into measurable journeys.

Gaming experiences are a core part of the Syraverse ecosystem. Syraverse develops and supports branded gaming experiences directly and in collaboration with specialist game development partners, including experiences built within Fortnite.

Syraverse works with brands, agencies and game development studios to connect participation within these gaming experiences to wider digital and real-world brand activity.

Where a Syraverse or partner-supported campaign includes a Fortnite experience, users may choose to connect their Epic Games account to their Syraverse profile. This allows their authenticated Epic Games identity to be associated with supported participation within that experience.

Syraverse users may optionally connect their Epic Games account to their Syraverse profile.

This allows Syraverse to associate an authenticated Epic Games identity with supported gaming campaigns and experiences.

Epic Games Account Services is not used as the primary authentication system for Syraverse. Users have a separate Syraverse account and connecting an Epic Games account is optional.

Connecting an Epic Games account is not required to create or access a Syraverse account.

When a user chooses to connect their Epic Games account, Syraverse may receive information authorised by the user through Epic Games Account Services, including their Epic account ID, display name, language, country and linked account display names.

Syraverse uses this information only to connect the user’s Epic Games identity to their Syraverse profile and to support relevant participation and campaign functionality.

1. 1The user selects “Connect Epic Games Account” within their profile page in Syraverse.
2. 2The user is redirected securely to Epic Games to authenticate directly with Epic Games.
3. 3Epic Games displays the information and permissions requested by Syraverse and asks the user to approve the connection.
4. 4If the user approves, Epic Games returns the user to Syraverse and the authenticated Epic Games identity is associated with their Syraverse profile.
5. 5The user can subsequently disconnect their Epic Games account from their Syraverse profile.

Why connect an Epic Games account?

Connecting an Epic Games account allows supported Syraverse campaigns to associate a user’s authenticated Epic Games identity with their participation journey.

This can be used where a campaign involves gaming participation alongside other supported digital or real-world campaign activity.

Account connection does not give Syraverse access to the user’s Epic Games password.

Users can disconnect their Epic Games account from their Syraverse profile through the Connected Accounts section of their Syraverse account.

Disconnecting removes the connection between the user’s Syraverse profile and their Epic Games account.

Available to logged-in Syraverse users.

Syraverse is operated by Syraverse Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom.
